Kinshasa, once known as Léopoldville, is the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The city is situated along the Congo River, the second longest river in Africa, across which the capital city of the neighbouring country, Republic of Congo, can be seen. The climate is hot year-round with dry season from May to September and a rainy season from October to May.  Temperature range between 18 and  32 degrees Celsius.
